DidaktikCentrum's in-service training is based on research and proven experience, primarily from working with the ideas at the Frida Skolorna Schools during a long period of time. The staff has gained extensive experience from a series of successful school years. During the same period, DidaktikCentrum found its place in a large network of researchers, educational developers and professional speakers, continuously involved - or participating - in the courses offered.
We offer longer courses or individual training days all over Sweden. Some areas that we have worked intensely with in recent years are “goal-oriented teaching”, “portfolio in theory and practice”, “Grading and assessment”, “Individual development plans (IUP)”, “Theme work” and “Leadership development”.
Individual Development Plan (IUP)
We have extensive experience in working with individual development plans. The work involves an analysis of each pupil's social skills, study skills and competence profile, and feedback in connection with Parent/Teacher meetings and follow-ups.
Assessment and grading
Didaktikcentrum has experience from numerous training activities focusing on assessment and grading. We have organised a range of courses such as training opportunities over several years for all teachers in one municipality or short-term training in individual schools.
Portfolio
Didaktikcentrum has more than ten years' experience of working with portfolio. Our cooperation with the Fridaskolan schools means we are directly involved in the everyday portfolio work. Each course is made up according to the school's needs.
Theme work
Theme work means that the objectives of different school subjects are integrated. This way, students work with and perceive their studies as a whole. The idea of working like this is to further implement the goal-oriented teaching, which has proved to have positive effects on learning.
Skills in Mathematics
DidaktikCentrum is involved in several development projects in Mathematics. We participate in individual in-service training days as well as plan longer education efforts in coordination with individual schools or administrations. DidaktikCentrum has also worked out a Mathematics Development Scheme (MUS).
Projects
DidaktikCentrum has extensive experience of various projects aimed at developing the Swedish school system. Examples of development work we are involved in are:
– Analysis with a focus on goal-oriented learning
– Development of quality assessment and quality reporting
– Leadership in a goal-oriented school
– Coaching of teacher teams.
Leadership Training In collaboration with our network and other training companies DidaktikCentrum organizes several leadership programs. Examples of current programs are “Professional skills in Leadership”, “Systematic School Improvement” and “Individual Championship”.
